Monitor colors

Printed colors

Printed colors will not exactly match the colors on your monitor, since printers and monitors use different color systems: monitors use RGB (red, green, and blue), while printers typically use CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). Check your software and printer documentation, or contact your printer company, for information on color matching and calibration.

[Top]

Scanned image is too large.

Select Screen/Web as the Destination setting. See Selecting a Destination for instructions. In some applications, if you select a printer as the Destination setting, the print will appear in the correct size even if the image is enlarged on the screen.

[Top]

The printed image is larger or smaller than the original.

The image size settings of your software determine the size of the printed image. Do not use the size of the monitor image to judge the printed size.
