When transporting the scanner over a long distance, or when storing them for an extended period, you need to lock the scanner's carriage to prevent damage. Follow the procedures below.
 | Turn on the scanner and wait until the carriage moves left to the home position. |
 | Turn off the scanner. |
 | Pull down the transportation lock to the locked position. |
 | Attach the protective materials and repack it in the original box. |
