Disconnecting This Scanner

Follow the steps below to disconnect this scanner from your computer.

When you finish using this scanner with your computer, be sure to turn off and disconnect this scanner properly following the steps in the appropriate sections below.

For Windows XP
|
Double-click the icon on the task bar.
|
|
Select USB Mass Storage Device and click Stop.
|
|
Select USB Mass Storage Device and click OK.
|
|
Click anywhere on the dialog box.
|
|
Remove the USB cable.
|
|
Turn off this scanner.
|

For Windows 2000
|
Make sure the card access light is on.
|
|
Turn off the computer.
|
|
Turn off the scanner.

If you turn off the scanner when the computer is still on, a message may appear; click OK.
|

Remove the USB cable.
|
|
Turn off the scanner.
|

|
Double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop.
|
The My Computer window appears.
|
Right-click the Removable Disk icon, and then click Eject.
|
|
Remove the USB cable.
|
|
Turn off this scanner.
|

For Macintosh
|
On the desktop, move the removable disk icon ( ) into the Trash.
|
|
Remove the USB cable.
|
|
Turn off this scanner.
