Using the Manual Mode

Scanning in the Manual mode involves the following procedure:

You cannot launch EPSON TWAIN as described here. See Scanning for Mac OS X Users.

Start a TWAIN-compliant application.

In the application, open EPSON TWAIN 5.

In the EPSON TWAIN Manual mode window, select Image Type and Destination.

Click the Full Preview button. The image is previewed in the Preview window on the right side of the Manual mode window.

Make additional image adjustment in the Preview window. For details on optimizing images, see Recommended Adjustment Order.

Click the Scan button. The image is scanned.

Note:

Depending on the application, you need to close the Manual mode window before working with the scanned image.

You can operate EPSON TWAIN in the same way on both Windows and Macintosh. This guide explains the operation procedure using the Windows examples.
