Why automatic scale up feature does not occur in Twain 5.60A for the perfection 1260/1260 photo/1660 photo/2400 photo scanners?

Instructions

The fact that the Target size does not become 4 X 6 inches is normal
According to specification for TWAIN 5.60A. The automatic scale up feature
adds extra time to the scan process. This extra scanning time was perceived
as a slow scanner by customers, therefore the feature was removed. This
feature has also been removed from updated versions of TWAIN higher than
version 5.60A. As an example, versions 5.71A, 5.73A, and 5.75A no longer
have the automatic scale up feature.

Note: TWAIN versions 5.71A, 5.73A, and 5.75A are updated TWAIN versions
currently posted on the Epson.com Web site and support the following
scanners: Perfection 610/640/1200/1200U/1240/1640SU/1250/1650/1260/1660/2400
Series.

This feature has also been removed from the new TWAIN Driver for the
Perfection 3200 Series called EPSON Scan v. 1.0

The workaround for this issue is very simple, use the Scale slider to
increase the Scale percentage so that your Target size becomes
approximately 4 X 6 inches, this should be around 450%. You can also
manually type in the Target size boxes to be 4 X 6 inches.
Note: These methods may not produce an exact 4 X 6 inch image due to aspect
ratios.

Another workaround is to use Full Auto Mode. In Full Auto Mode, the images
are scaled up to approximately 4 X 6 inches at 300 dpi.

Note: Full Auto mode cannot be used for monochrome (Black and White)
film or slides.
