Placing Documents or Photos
Before scanning a document, remember to respect the rights of copyright owners. Do not scan published text or images without first checking their copyright status.

Do not place heavy objects on the document table glass and do not press the glass with too much force.
|

Open the document cover.
|
|
Place your document or photo on the document table, face down on the glass. Make sure the top of the document or photo is against the upper left corner of the document table.
|
If you need to scan a book or large document, you can open the document cover and gently slide up the hinges.
If you need to press the document flat while you scan it, do not press too hard and be careful not to move it.

Do not use excessive force on the document cover, and do not twist it diagonally. Otherwise, you may damage the cover.

If you are scanning multiple photos at once, position each photo at least 20 mm apart from the others.
|
|
Close the document cover gently so that your original does not move.
