Disabling the Wi-Fi function

If you want to disable the Wi-Fi for any reason, such as when restarting Wi-Fi settings, use the following procedure.
Note:
Wi-Fi function set to printers that do not have an LCD panel can be disabled by connecting an active Ethernet cable to the printer.
For printers that do not have an LCD or Ethernet, you can disable the Wi-Fi function by initializing the network settings. To initialize the network settings, see Initializing the Network Interface Settings.
This feature is not available for all printers or may not be enabled.
Enter the Setup mode.
Select Network Settings (or Wi-Fi Settings).
Select Wireless LAN Setup (Wi-Fi Setup Wizard for Line LCDs).
Select Disable Wireless LAN.
Select Yes.
Note:
Ethernet is enabled when the Wi-Fi is disabled.
