Indicate the Network Status

LED lights and buttons

The network communication status is indicated via LEDs on printers that do not have an LCD panel.
Network status light (a):
Mainly displays status of wireless connections
Network status light (b):
Mainly displays status of wired connections
Note:
Shapes of LED lights and buttons vary depending on the model.
If your printer supports wired connections only, the printer will not be equipped with the Network status light (a). The communication status will be indicated by the Network status light (b).

*1 The Network status light (b) turns off after five minutes.
*2 If your printer supports wired connections only, the Network status light (b) flashes.
Network Buttons
WiFi
Press and hold for three seconds to make easy wireless LAN settings.
Press to release an easy wireless LAN setting error.
Press to print a network status sheet.
WiFi +
While holding down the WiFi button, press and hold the button for about three seconds to make easy wireless LAN settings in WPS PIN mode.

Turn the printer off, then press both buttons at the same time to initialize network settings.
You can confirm the network status as follows on printers that have a Wi-Fi light.
The LED condition varies depending on the network status.
On

Printing status sheet

To confirm the network connection, print a status sheet using the following procedure.
Load a plain paper into the sheet feeder.
Press to print the status sheet.

Confirm printer status using Web browser

Note:
This feature is not available for all printers or may not be enabled.
You can confirm the printer status via a Web browser.
Enter the printer’s IP address to digital device and search for the printer.
Note:
The input format is ‘http//<IP address>’.
Confirm the printer status.
