How do I install my ink cartridges for the first time?
Please follow the below instructions to ensure correct installation:

1. Lower the printer's output tray and open the top cover.
2. Switch on the printer. The print heads will now move to the replacement position. If they do not move to a change position press the Red ink button on the printer.
3. Lift up the two ink cartridge clamps.
4. Unwrap the ink cartridges, and then remove only the yellow tape seal from the top of the black and colour ink cartridges. Do not pull off any other part. Don't touch the green chip on the back of the cartridge.
5. Tilt each cartridge forward as you lower it into its holder.
6. Hang the tabs at the back of the cartridge on the hooks. Make sure the labels on the ink cartridges are facing up and that the arrows on the labels point toward the back of the printer. Don't place the cartridge under the hooks; you may damage the clamp when you close it.
7. Close the ink cartridge clamps until they lock in place. Press the ink button to begin charging the system. Charging can take up to three minutes and is complete when the power light stops flashing.
8. Close the printer cover.

Caution:
Don't touch the green chip on the back of the cartridge. If anything other than the yellow seal has been removed from the ink cartridge, do not install the cartridge. If you have already installed it, even if the printer is printing correctly, change the cartridge immediately.
