The Paper Jams

If paper is jammed inside this printer, the error light on the operation panel flashes. You may be able to clear the jammed paper using the Control Panel. Follow the steps below.
Press one of the  start buttons to eject the jammed paper. If the jammed paper is not ejected, go on to the next step.
If the paper is stuck near the sheet feeder or output tray, gently pull it out.
If the paper is stuck inside the printer, press the On button to turn it off. Open the scanner unit and remove any paper inside, including any torn pieces. Do not pull it backward; this can damage the sheet feeder. Close the scanner unit, then turn the printer back on.
After clearing the jammed paper, close the scanner unit and then press the On and the  Color Photo button.
Load a stack of paper in the sheet feeder.
Note:
If you cannot easily remove a foreign object, do not use force and do not disassemble the printer. Call your dealer for assistance.

Preventing Paper Jams

If your paper jams frequently, make sure the following.
The paper is smooth, not curled or wrinkled.
You are using high quality paper.
The printable side of the paper is face up in the rear feeder.
The paper stack was fanned before loading.
The paper is not loaded above the  arrow mark inside the left edge guide.
The number of sheets in the paper stack does not exceed the limit specified for that paper.
See Loading capacities for Epson special media.
The left edge guide is snug against the left edge of the paper.
The printer is on a flat, stable surface that extends beyond the base in all directions. The printer will not operate properly if it is tilted.
