Printer Parts

a.

Paper support: Supports the paper loaded in the sheet feeder.

Sheet feeder: Holds your paper and feeds it for printing.

c.

Printer cover: Covers the printing mechanism. Open only when installing or replacing ink cartridges.

Front tray extension: Supports the ejected paper.

e.

Front tray: When in the paper position, holds the ejected paper. When in the CD/DVD position, holds the CD/DVD tray and feeds it for printing. Before turning on the printer, pull up the tray lever to set the front tray to the paper position.

Front cover: Open whenever printing.

Tray lever: Changes the front tray position. Pull up the tray lever to set the front tray to the paper position. Push down the tray lever to set the front tray to the CD/DVD position. Before turning on the printer, pull up the tray lever to set the front tray to the paper position.

EXT. I/F USB port: Connects the USB cable from your digital camera.

Edge guides: Hold your paper straight in the sheet feeder. Move the left edge guide to the edge of your paper.

USB connector: Connects the USB cable from your computer to the printer.

AC inlet: Connects the power cord.

Cartridge cover: Secures the ink cartridges. Open only when installing or replacing ink cartridges.

Print head: Prints ink on your paper.

c.

Control panel: Use the buttons and monitor the lights to control your printer. See the next section for details.

d.

Memory card slot cover: Covers the memory card slots. Open only when inserting or removing memory card.

e.

Infrared port: Receives data sent from your device via infrared.

Note:

Some displays on the control panel vary depending on the area you purchased the printer.

 

Buttons

Function

a

 On

Turns the printer on and off.

b

Mode

Switches between  [Memory Card] mode and CD/DVD [Print CD/DVD] mode.
(Lights show which mode is selected.)

c

 [Display/Crop]

Changes the view of the photos on the LCD screen. Enlarges the subject in a photo to crop out the rest of the photo that you want to print.

d

 [Print Settings]

Displays print setting options.

e

OK

Opens the setting menu and selects the item to be set on the LCD screen.

f

Copies

Sets the number of copies.

g

 Start

Starts printing operations or the settings on the LCD screen selected via the buttons on the control panel.

h

 Stop/Clear

Cancels print operations or the settings on the LCD screen.

i

4-way scroll

Moves the cursor on the LCD screen.

j

 [Back]

Returns to the main menu on the LCD screen.

k

 [Setup]

Displays print setting options.
